LEE BRADSHAW
Lee Bradshaw is a Melbourne-born Australian composer whose music has been performed by renowned artists, including Dame Sarah Connolly, Baiba Skride, the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, and the Dresdner Sinfoniker. His compositions include sonatas, chamber works, as well as large-scale works such as his Symphony Letters from Montenegro, premiered by the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, and the Elegy, 15th March.
Bradshaw's collaborations include the recording project The Ties That Bind, featuring violinist Baiba Skride and cellist Harriet Krijgh, and The Death of Beethoven, a recording cycle of Beethoven's late string quartets with Quartetto Energie Nove. His operatic achievements include Zarqa Al Yamama, an Arabic-language grand opera premiered in Riyadh with Dame Sarah Connolly, marking a historic moment as the first Western grand opera performed entirely in Arabic.
As Composer-in-Residence at the Mediterranean Notes Festival and Christchurch Festival of Chamber Music, Bradshaw continues to create works that resonate with audiences worldwide.
